Take a walk around your neighborhood, and you’ll see a heartbreaking sight: empty playgrounds, silent sports fields, spaces that once echoed with children’s laughter now slowly turning into abandoned areas, waiting to be demolished. Meanwhile, developers are just waiting for their chance to take over these spaces and turn them into yet another concrete jungle.
Do we really want our children to grow up in a world where the only available play space is on a phone screen? Where there are no more green places to run, play, and build real friendships?

Playgrounds Are Disappearing – And We Are Letting It Happen!
There are fewer and fewer playgrounds, and those that remain are often far away, requiring a car ride to reach. Sadly, even these last remaining play areas are under threat – they stand empty, giving developers the perfect excuse to claim that "nobody uses them" and replace them with buildings.
Do we realize that once they are gone, there is no turning back? In their place will rise new apartment buildings, parking lots, and shopping centers, leaving our children with no green spaces to run, jump, and enjoy the freedom of childhood.
Friendship House ® – Saving Playgrounds for Children!
Our Friendship House ® project aims to bring life back to playgrounds, sports fields, and parks before they are taken away from our community. We believe that if we start using these spaces again, filling them with children’s laughter and joy, no one will dare to remove them. Our project promotes tech-free zones not only in local community hubs but also in playgrounds, parks, and sports fields, encouraging real-world connections.
What are we doing?
Organizing regular gatherings and play sessions at playgrounds to show they are still needed.
Encouraging team sports on fields, engaging kids and teens in physical activity.
Building a community of families who want to take action to protect these spaces.
Raising awareness about the importance of preserving these areas before they become construction sites.
Promoting tech-free outdoor activities, ensuring children and families engage in real-life play and interaction.
Join Us – Let’s Not Raise Our Children in a Concrete World!
Every day that playgrounds remain empty is another excuse for developers to erase them. But if we – parents, grandparents, and caregivers – show that these spaces matter, we can save them!
Instead of another apartment block, let’s leave our children a place to play. Instead of soulless concrete structures, let’s fill our neighborhoods with laughter, games, and shared moments. Let’s not allow our communities to become barren deserts with no green space for fun and socializing.
