Every single day, people in the UK lose their hard-earned money, personal data, and peace of mind to fraudsters. From phishing emails and fake text messages to phone scams and doorstep tricksters, the methods of scammers are becoming more sophisticated. No age group is completely safe. Children, young people, adults, and older people are all targeted in different ways.
That’s why we launched the Don’t Get Scammed – Community Awareness Campaign.
Why this campaign matters
Fraud is now the most common crime in the UK, and the emotional and financial damage it causes is devastating. Victims often describe not only losing money but also suffering from stress, sleepless nights, and a loss of trust in others. Scammers are clever – they adapt quickly, invent new tricks, and prey on the most vulnerable.
We believe that education and awareness are the strongest weapons against fraud. By equipping people with clear, practical advice, we can prevent scams before they happen.

What we plan to do
With the support of our community and donors, we will:
Run nationwide workshops – online and in person – teaching people how to recognise scams and protect themselves.
Publish easy-to-read safety guides in print and digital formats, so families can share knowledge across generations.
Launch a social media campaign with clear graphics and videos to spread scam alerts quickly.
Carry out ongoing research into new scam methods to make sure our advice is always up to date.
Build an online resource hub where anyone in the UK can check the latest alerts, get tips, and find out how to report fraud.
“Remember! Scam is theatre. The fraudster is an actor: one day a banker, another – a wealthy widower looking for love or someone who wants to leave you an inheritance, and yet another – a government official threatening you with a fine. The costumes change, but the play script always remains the same – it’s about your money and your data.”— Intra Conspectum CIC, Don’t Get Scammed Campaign 2025

How you can help
We’ve launched our fundraising page on Crowdfunder:
Your donation will help us print materials, run workshops, and carry out research into emerging fraud trends. Even a small monthly contribution can make a big difference – funding scam monitoring, updating educational resources, and protecting vulnerable people across the UK.
Together we can make a difference
Fraudsters are organised and relentless, but together we can build communities that are more informed, more confident, and less vulnerable to scams.
Every contribution counts. Whether it’s £10 for a thank-you shout-out, £50 to sponsor a workshop place, your support will protect real people from real harm.
Join us today – support the campaign, share the message, and help us say loudly: Don’t Get Scammed!
Awareness is the only real antivirus we have.
Protect yourself. Protect your community.
